Artist and Reluctant Algorithm

I’m a multidisciplinary artist who enjoys the possibilities found within many different forms of expression. For me, it’s less about “what” I make and more about asking “what if?” That question guides everything—from photography, drawing, painting, and filmmaking to printed works and mixed media projects.

I find it important to blend traditional techniques with experimental and alternative processes. Some days I’m deep in a hands-on art-making process; other times I’m editing, writing, or building projects from scratch.

What connects all my work is a deep interest in the artistic process. I’m drawn to early drafts, unfinished marks, and the places where an image or idea breaks down or reshapes itself. Those uncertain, messy, in-between moments often reveal as much as the final result.

More and more, I find myself resisting the flattened, hyper-curated world of algorithms and curated streams—the systems that seem to predict what I’ll like before I do. I make work to step outside that loop: to slow down, embrace uncertainty, and explore what doesn’t fit cleanly into any category.

I keep making because I’m curious about how materials behave, where the creative process might lead, and what the work might reveal—both to me, and maybe to you.
