Time and Face

Portraits drawn with light, presence, and a connection.

This ongoing project builds on the idea of people and place. I focus on human connections and the stories shared with me along the way. These portraits aim to capture the unique character and presence of individuals I’ve encountered in my travels. Each image is more than a moment frozen in time—it’s a conversation, a relationship formed between myself, the subject, and the viewer. That interaction—spoken or silent—is what drives the work. I often use the square format to center the subject in a way that feels intimate and balanced. The frame removes distraction, drawing the eye inward and inviting a deeper connection. Portrait photography, like drawing, is about presence. It’s a way of shaping and bending light to reveal form, depth, and the spirit of a person. Just as a drawn line can expose something essential, so too can light uncover the subtle truths that make someone who they are.

Time and Face is also about a time and a space. Some places pull me in the same way people do—with a presence, a feeling, even a kind of personality. I’m drawn to certain rooms, corners, or streets that seem to carry memory or intent, and I approach them with the same quiet attention I give to a portrait. These images appear here as well, because sometimes the face isn’t human—it’s a doorway, a shadow, or a wall touched by time.

Make it stand out.

  • Dream it.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
